每年的8月1號，對于美本申請的同學(xué)們意義重大的日子：轟轟烈烈的申請季戰(zhàn)役將打響。昨日，2021-2022的Common App入口，迎來了正式開放。

　　Common App是美國本科申請三大網(wǎng)申系統(tǒng)之一，也是目前美國大學(xué)申請使用人數(shù)最多的系統(tǒng)之一，每年超過100萬學(xué)生通過該系統(tǒng)在線申請大學(xué)。

　　CA通用申請系統(tǒng)的最大特點是，申請人只需填寫一份申請表，包括標(biāo)化成績、文書、背景活動以及推薦信等，就可以用它來申請多所大學(xué)，可以有效節(jié)省申請大學(xué)的時間。

　　新申請季Common App 五大新變化

　　1.現(xiàn)已新增64所高校接受該應(yīng)用程序；

　　2.修改性別選項以更好地代表申請人；

　　3.更改公民身份問題以減少訪問障礙；

　　4.新增個人陳述提示;

　　5.COVID-19相關(guān)選填題部分持續(xù)保留

　　64所學(xué)校新加入系統(tǒng)

　　今年，共有64所高校新加入Common  App系統(tǒng)。

　　所有伊利諾伊州公立大學(xué)都將使用 Common App，伊利諾伊州成為美國第一個要求其公立四年制大學(xué)使用 Common App 的州。

　　伊利諾伊州立大學(xué)招生主任 Jeff Mavros 說道：“允許學(xué)生使用 Common App 進(jìn)行申請將使伊利諾伊州、中西部和全國范圍內(nèi)的學(xué)生更容易接觸到大學(xué)�！�

　　其他Common App 新成員學(xué)校包括：

　　詹姆斯麥迪遜大學(xué)，弗吉尼亞州雪蘭多谷的一所公立大學(xué)；

　　普瑞特藝術(shù)學(xué)院，位于布魯克林區(qū)；

　　波特蘭州立大學(xué)，位于俄勒岡州的4年制公立學(xué)校；

　　阿拉巴馬大學(xué)，阿拉巴馬州歷史最悠久、規(guī)模最大的公立大學(xué)……

　　此前，Common App官方宣布2021-2022申請季部分板塊會做出調(diào)整。比如：

　　1、主文書第4題有改動，變成“Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?”

　　其他6道題目沒有變化，并且“額外信息”部分仍然保留COVID-19的備選問題“分享疫情對你個人和學(xué)術(shù)的影響”。

　�、�、Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

　　②、The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

　�、�、Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?

　　⑤、Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.

　�、�、Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?

　　⑦、Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you‘ve already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.

　　2、另外，為了適應(yīng)越來越多樣化的學(xué)生，減少偏見或歧視，Common App決定修改部分個人信息問題。

　　比如：公民身份的選項中，“Other (non-US)” 替換成 International students 和 Undocumented/DACA students 兩個選項。

　　刪除父母和兄弟姐妹相關(guān)問題，父母的職業(yè)、學(xué)歷、就業(yè)情況相關(guān)問題設(shè)置為Optional。

　　性別描述部分，用詞從 “sex” 改成 “l(fā)egal sex”。

Common App填寫指南

以學(xué)生身份注冊

填寫信息

　　注冊賬戶填寫基本的信息，如姓名、出生日期、地址、電話、郵箱等等。

　　郵箱就是用戶名，Common App也會不定期的給你發(fā)一些提醒和更新。

　　在系統(tǒng)中，你會看到所有的信息集中在一起，一次性就能填寫完成。

　　首先就是注冊郵箱、密碼，需要注意的是：

　　1. 不使用奇怪的郵箱名稱/地址，美高學(xué)生建議Gmail，國內(nèi)學(xué)生建議163郵箱

　　2. CA對密碼有比較嚴(yán)格的要求，密碼不符合要求無法進(jìn)行到下一步，詳細(xì)要求如下：

　　10-32位長度

　　至少一個大寫字母

　　至少一個小寫字母

　　至少一個數(shù)字

　　至少一個特殊符號! @ # $ % ^ & *

　　無空格鍵

　　隨后我們填寫姓名、性別、住址、生日、入學(xué)信息等，完成注冊。

　　添加大學(xué)名單

　　通過名字搜索大學(xué)，點擊左邊【+】號就能添加大學(xué)。

　　讓我們?nèi)涡缘靥钜粋�哈佛大學(xué)試下。

　　選擇完一所學(xué)校之后，可以繼續(xù)添加其他學(xué)校，或者點擊學(xué)校名稱/點擊右側(cè)的按鈕/在My Colleges中查看已添加的學(xué)校信息。

　　新版的Common系統(tǒng)中，學(xué)校搜索更加方便，學(xué)校信息介紹也會更加全面，讓申請方便了不少。
